Description:

A Power Supply Technician assembles large power supply units. Experience with installing electrical components and reading mechanical and electrical drawings is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Mathematical skills – adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and working with fractions.
• Ability to read measuring devices – rulers, tape measures, squares, levels, Vernier’s, protractors, and formulas.
• Mechanical aptitude – hardware sizes, plumbing fittings, and hand tools.

Required Qualifications:

• Able to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Comfortable working in a team environment.
• Always maintain a safe working environment for oneself and co-workers.
• Perform general housekeeping as required.
• Regular attendance and able and willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime.
• Will handle miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills required (i.e. Microsoft Word and Outlook)
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational schooling and an eagerness to learn are highly valued.
• Salary commensurate with skills and experience.
• Greater than 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position or role.
• Required to work overtime as necessary.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, stoop, hear, use fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms.

• The noise level in the work environment is moderate manufacturing noise. Hearing requirements include the ability to hear and respond to instructions, communicate effectively in loud areas.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus and see detail.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 51 pounds.
• Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Ascending and descending stairs and/or ladders.
• Being physically active for long periods.
• Work in and move about small spaces and pathways.
• Working around others, and with others.
• Work in spaces with noise up to 100dB (with company-provided ear protection).
• Physical duties are subject to change.

Preferred:

• Ability to operate overhead crane and drive a forklift.
• Ability to operate power tools, i.e. band saw, shear, hydraulic bender, drill press, table disk sander, etc.
