Description:
The Electrical / Computer Engineer will work within the electrical engineering group to design PLC based controls systems along with HMI interface for industrial equipment. The successful candidate will have knowledge of electrical circuits and power distribution, as well as PLC control technologies. The successful candidate will be expected to work with department management to ensure that the company is at the forefront of new technologies and explore new areas where controls design can add value to our products.
Primary Responsibilities:
- PLC Software development, support, and testing
- HMI Application development and testing
- Generate designs and specifications for control systems, power supply and transmission parts, and integrate components into a final system design
- Testing, troubleshooting, and supporting controls, and electrical equipment
- Travel to the site for system startup/troubleshooting as needed
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent 2+ years of Industrial equipment design experience.
- Strong mathematical abilities
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
- Experience/Exposure with Siemens (Step 7 Classic and TIA Portal) and Rockwell (RS Logix 5000 and Studio 5000)
- Experience with InTouch Wonderware, Factory Talk View, Inductive Automation Ignition
